Brother Harry Dierks
Brother Harry Paschal Dierks, OFM, 82, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
Brother Harry was a member of Franciscan Friars, St. John the Baptist Province. He ministered at St. Anthony Friary in Uniontown, PA, St. Francis Retreat House in Easton, PA, the former Franciscan House of Evangelization in Pittsburgh and Holy Family Friary in Avalon.
He is survived by three siblings, Rosemarie Sacharnski, LaVerne Dierks and Thomas Dierks, all of Union City, NJ; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Dierks.
Friends were received at Holy Family Friary on Friday until the time of a Wake Service. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the School Sisters of St. Francis, Mt. Assisi, on Saturday. Burial was in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Franciscan Friars, 232 S. Home Ave., Avalon, PA 15202. Arrangements were made by O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side.
Robert L. Smith, 79, formerly of Bellevue, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
He is survived by four children, Karen Tedesco, Kathy Smith, David Babeaux and his wife Elaina and Lisa Howcroft and her husband Art; his fiancée, Patricia Babeaux; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Smith; four siblings, James Smith, Ronni Smith and his wife Patti, Patricia Ball and Janet Roper; four grandchildren, Kristy, Amber, Lindsay and Anthony; and three great-grandchildren, Kyrie, Jacob and Riley. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Smith; and his parents, Raymond and LaVerne Blanchard Smith.
Friends were received at O'Brien Funeral Home, North Side, where a blessing service was held on Friday.

John K. "Jack" Geary, 81, of Avalon, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy G. Geary; nine children, Gabrielle Marshall and her husband Frank,Christopher and his wife Susan, Alexandra, George and his wife Grace, Gregory, Stephen and his wife Mona, Alan and his wife Joan, John R., Theodore and his wife Giselle, Eric and Joshua and his wife Lisa; his brother, George B. Geary of Houston, TX; nine grandchildren, Olivia and Gabrielle Marshall, Justin, Kelly, Kate, Stephano, Isabella, Sarah and Theodore N. Geary; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Grosjean; two sisters-in-law, Ruthie Foster and her husband Gary and Ginny Leibach and her husband Bill; and his nephew, Tom Wyeth and his wife Donna. He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven siblings, Rosemary, Vivian, Betty, LaVerne, Nancy, Don and Bill.

Charmaine Ambrass Skeith, 69, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Emsworth, died Monday, May 28, 2012.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Skeith; four children, David Schleiden Jr. of Fort Myers, Christian Schleiden Mulligan and her husband Mike of Gainesville, FL, Deanne Schleiden Bailey and her husband Ron of Miami, FL and Thomas Skeith Jr. of Charlotte, NC; eight siblings, Dolores Haas and her husband Jerry, Edward Ambrass and his wife Gerri, Thomas Ambrass and his wife Pam, Richard Ambrass and his wife Donna, James Ambrass and his wife Janet, William Ambrass and his wife Debbie and Donald Ambrass and his wife Bobbi; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dolores Gruber Ambrass; and her grandson, David Schleiden III.
A memorial service will be held in Florida later.
Laurie Anne Garlock, 55, of McCandless Township, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
Mrs. Garlock was a University of Iowa graduate. She earned a graduate degree in gerontology at the University of Pittsburgh.
She is survived by her husband, Bryan Kent Garlock; two children, Emily Anne Sacchetti and her husband Paul Alfred of Brooklyn, NY, and David Bryan Garlock and his wife Chelsea Violet of McCandless Township; her father, Stanley Norman Sharp; her mother-in-law, Caryl Christina Garlock; her brother-in-law, Douglas Carl Garlock; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheila Marguerite Sharp; and her father-in-law, James Madison Garlock.

Dolores "Loli" Gonzalez Maruscak, 73, of Ross Township, wife of the late Albert J. Maruscak, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
She is survived by three children, Albert D. Maruscak of St. Petersburg, FL, Ronald J. Maruscak Sr. and his wife Sharon of Bellevue and Joseph R. Maruscak and his wife Sharon Heinhold of Ross Township; nine grandchildren, Damien, Heather, Julie, Nicole, Ronald Jr., Michael, David, Joseph Jr. and Adam; and five great-grandchildren, Hailey, Addison, Jayden, Alivia and Giovanni.

Frank W. Pelc Jr., husband of the late Sandra M. Wagner Pelc, died Friday, June 1, 2012.
He is survived by three children, Doritta, Frank III and Selene Pelc; two siblings, Marianne Weber and James Pelc; and his grandson, Finn Allgaier. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank W. Sr. and Rita Pelc; and his brother, Robert Pelc.

Anthony "Joe" Boll, husband of the late Doris J. Blaha Boll, died Friday, May 25, 2012.
Mr. Boll was a member of Allegheny Elks #339, PER. PDDGER, West View VFW Post #2754 and American Legion Post #81.
He is survived by three children, Edward Boll and his wife Veronica, Carol Riazzi and her husband Richard and Diane Sopcisak and her husband Jeffrey; his sister, Mildred Boll; and four grandchildren, Joe, Jessica, Rachel and Anna Sopcisak. James E. Green Jr., 87, formerly of Ross Township and husband of the late Marjorie Becker Green, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 in the Arbors of St. Barnabas.
He is survived by four children, James E. Green III and his wife Karen Steiner, Candy Daur and her husband Thomas, Marcie Divosevic and her husband Richard and Michael M. Green and his wife Deneen; three siblings, Michael Green, Myron Green and Patricia Miller; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Ebert and Dorothy Gardner.

Harold S. Mahrer, 95, formerly of Sewickley and husband of the late Alice F. Frank Mahrer, died Monday, June 4, 2012 in St. Barnabas.
Mr. Mahrer was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan M. Lumley and her husband Jeff of Grove City, PA and Diane Weider and her husband Edwin of Medina, NY; six grandchildren, Pat, Colleen, Brian, Mike, Rachel and Natalie; 15 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two siblings, David J. Mahrer and Frances Falvo.

Mrs. Stephany was a member of Ladies of Charity and a Eucharistic minister.
